I should note that you will only have Operator, Analog and Ableton's other instruments if you have Ableton Suite or you purchase them separately. If you just have the Ableton Live demo, I HIGHLY recommend you spend the extra $ and get Suite if/when you decide to buy.

i have ableton live 8 and i dont have any of the synthesizers. whats that about?

@kevon050687 If you purchased Ableton Live 8 instead of Ableton Suite 8, or have Live Lite, etc, you won't have any instruments like Operator or Analog. You can purchase them separately but it's much less expensive to just upgrade to Suite. Still, at something like $700 (or $400 on educational, like I bought it), it's still damn expensive. However, I think it's worth the extra $150ish to upgrade over Live 8 alone.

Thanks for all the great comments. Glad I could help some of you! Apologies for the poor vocal audio...It was 3am and I had to use my built in mic. I promise it will be better next time.
Speaking of next time, what kind of tutorial would you like to see next? Keep in mind that I'd like to focus on using Ableton's core instruments and not VSTi's. Make your suggestion in the comments or in a video response and the person(s) idea I pick will get a mention in my next tutorial!
