Daylight Savings_original song

original title: "If it wasnt for Daylight Savings I wouldnt have no savings at all." Good title but, way too long so, I shortened it to simply Daylight Savings.
I know DST is really Daylight 'SAVING' Time (not 'SAVINGS' with an 'S') but, I like it better with the 's' on the end of the word 'saving'(s) so there!!!

This song symbolizes how I feel about the twice yearly insanity of setting clocks forward and back, you know the drill...
Spring forward/Fall back - Spring forward/Fall back - Spring forward/Fall back - Spring forward/Fall back - (you get the idea).

I've written two songs about this subject and this is the first one while "Spring Forward (Fall Back)" is the second one. Anyway, I wrote this first one in the 1980s after being laid off from the oilfield right around the time Daylight Savings went into effect. Sort of a double whammy, consarn it! Made me feel plum cultus! Well, I did the only thing I could think of, I sat down and wrote this song.

Yes, I know I made good money roughneckin' but, I've been dirt poor ever since and the way the economy is now will make sure I stay that way. Well, I made a new life for myself and things have worked out ok for the most part except for one thing... I still have to put up with the insanity of on again/off again daylight saving time -

I must say once more with feelin'... I feel plum cultus, consarn it!!!
