@leicamaster First, define what issue you are referring to by the terms "corporate personhood." However, the spending of one's money is a legal expression and means of exercising one's free speech. Be careful what you want to abolish. A free society must allow individuals to spend their money any way they see fit as long as they do not violate the personal, property or civil rights of another. That is an inalienable right, acknowledged and protected by the Constitution.

@fzqlcs Well in this case individual safety as well. Yes I agree, which is why abolishing "corporate personhood" and "money is speech" would be a step the right direction.

@leicamaster It might be wise to search everyone from one viewpoint, but government exists for the expressed purpose of protecting individual rights. How to attain a free market? Just as we recognize the benefit to separation of church and state, we must attempt to achieve a separation of economics and state. However, we continue to go in the opposite direction -- the direction of crony capitalism.

@fzqlcs Well considering Timothy McVey and the Unibomber were white men, I didn't see a wide scale increase in racial profiling white men did you? I mean we do have domestic terrorist or potential domestic terrorists in this country so it would be wise to just search everyone. I know it's inconvenience for those who don't fit the profile, but we can't assume and risk lives in the process.

@leicamaster You are not getting this. In a truly free market, there would be no benefit to buying politicians since government would not wield the power to regulate. Government would only provide courts to settle disputes.

@leicamaster If have been reading my responses my consistent message has been that I am against both racial discrimination and affirmative action. The are judgments based solely on skin color. However, profiling is another matter. It directs scarce resources to obtain maximum benefit. Rape suspects are generally men, so why should cops treat women equally as suspects. Same with terrorism. Can you find commonalities about those we claim to need TSA protection from? See a difference?

@fzqlcs Well they shouldn't be able to buy politicians and they don't do it out a feeling they do it to manipulate the market in their favor. Therefore the free market capitalist is regulating the market to his benefit through the buying of politicians who will push their agenda through and legislate it.
