@ContestX I don't know but considering that you have two hundred and fifty thousand pounds of it I don't think it would be a problem if you tried it and it didn't work.

my neck measurements for my squire strats first 12 frets are, 35.70, 34.6, 32.70, 30.40, 29.20, 27.30, 25.40, 24.30, 22.90, 21.50, 20.60 and 19.20 how does that compare to yours?

Shouldn't you have cut the fret slots when the fingerboard material was squared. Another point of concern is that you measure the fret slots off of each other. If you get one slot measurement off or wrong, all of the rest after that will be wrong. It is best to measure from the nut or zero fret to each fret down the neck. This will allow no chance of a misaligned fret slot.

That would be bad ass.

I have a good 250,000 pounds of Osage at my disposal, has anyone ever made a guitar with any success with osage?

thanks for the answer
Hi all, I've a question, your truss rod slot have square profile or "U" profile?
And then, sometimes the Truss r. slot is curved. Is that for the double action truss rod? What's the depth in the middle?
Thanks m8s

All of my slots are square profile. As long as the depth is equal to the rod's height, square is fine. Curved slots are for single action rods. I like dual action because the slot is level.

I've always had good luck measuring from fret to fret as long as I use digital calipers. I like to use the 5 profile method for making an angled peghead. Also, it's a creative way to convert a slab sawn board quartersawn one!

Why is it that alot of guitar builder's neglect to mention the importance of a true flat surface on the guitar neck blank, before routing the truss rod channel?

You are right, and I should've mentioned it because I was very careful to make sure the surface was flat and level before I did the routing.
