Humane or not, it is cruel to kill, this is murder and just watching this and every other video tears me up. Right now, we're sitting here and they're being injected, tossed in bags and burnt like the Holocaust. If I could, I'd make the biggest shelter for animals, no cages either. I wish people were more considerate of the earth and its beauty. We were given animals, we should respect them. We don't go killing orphans because they're not being adopted, do we?

this was good- effective ....i understand better about puppy mills.........one day it WILL be as illegal as child - bride marriages.....you will see.......all this you and others do and those who read.it will make the change...if that is little comfort.

You have to understand, it is not the shelter's fault. Nobody WANTS to euthanize an animal, but it is the product of ignorant pet owners who breed animals. If there was no homeless animals, there would be no need for animal shelters, and no need to euthanize. The ONLY way to prevent this is to spay and neuter.

How horrendous! Yes, it sure is murder! Killing of animals in order to cut costs should never be for population control. The term euthanasia actually means "mercy killing" and it was intended as an absolute last resort. Many of these animals are not terminally ill, so the term used should not be euthanasia in these cases. It's genocide. I think the first poster was very astute and accurate in their assessment comparing it with the death camps. People wouldn't dare do this to orphaned children.

The solution to preventing the mass murder of animals id to make breeding illegal and shutting down all pet shops. But of cours that won't happen. Then there will be no shelters. Breeding won't be an occupation. No more puupy mills. Oh, and no more PETA. Its all politics. We as people can have a voice. To start, let's stop the breeders

Please adopt your next pet from your local animal shelter. A life will be saved these animals deserve to be in a home were they will be loved and taken care of not in a cage

For everyone....I JUST put my dog down, ive had her for 10 years. The past year i have watched her suffer from lymphoma that moved to her liver. Putting her down was the NICEST thing i could have done for her!!!! So shut your mouth until you have to personally watch your own family suffer....THEN you can decide what is right or wrong!!!!

I have held all my dogs in my arms when they had to be euthanized and never have I seen any sign of pain. Beuthanasia (marketed by Merck) is fast acting and the dogs have never shown pain. They look as if they are falling asleep and within a minute or two the animal is gone. No cries of pain, no thrashing about. Just a shot. And the fading beat of the heart.

My daughter is a vet tech and tells me the drug is pretty expensive. Possibly these horribly drawn out painful deaths are due to using ot
