Fast paced action at the Mid-South Coliseum as champion Randy Savage takes on Austin Idol in a grudge match with the International Heavyweight title on the line.

Their grudge was touched off when Idol put Angelo Poffo in a patented "Las Vegas leg lock" (the figure four), causing an injury which forced Angelo to walk on crutches. Now Randy has his chance to get a piece of Idol but, unfortunately, he must defend his title too. Can "The Macho Man" keep his emotions in check? Can he avoid Idol's Las Vegas leg lock by beating all the snot out of him?

  • @samsdaddy0525 That's exactly right, according to sources.

  • @samsdaddy0525 And Georgia for a while, though he never went back after 80 or 81 as I recall. But in 79/80 he was a huge star in Georgia.

  • Man, this ref is L...A...M...E...!!!

  • Macho Man Randy is a great heel and yes a better wrestler than Hulk Hogan overall. Has the best mic skills, something that some wrestlers today don't even have. Vince McMahon gave him that opportunity to became a superstar in the WWF. Also, he could have gone to Jim Crockett's NWA where Ric Flair is the top wrestler there, but 2 years later they recruited Sting to be the chosen one in WCW.

  • great match, the action was non-stop. No arm bars or headlocks just good brawling

  • I remember when randy savage made his bebut match in WWF ppl were calling him a washed up has-been. LOLOLOL in reality he hadn't even started yet...

  • The double reverse on the atomic drop into the Vegas Leglock (figure four) was magnificent. Idol and Macho whooped the shit out of each other while the ref wandered around in a daze..

  • RIP MACHO

  • macho man was a beast in tha ring one on my favorite

  • @spoodyface You are welcome. I am with you, I was a BIG Idol fan as well. He was a great heel and a great, edgy babyface.

I do think he could have been huge in either organization.
