one more thing: against me! has ALWAYS had pop sensibility. there are giant hooks all over their discog, vocal harmonies befitting the beatles on every album, and even RAR had such melodic gems as "baby i'm an anarchist" and "we laugh at danger" to go with things like "the politics of starving". as the eternal cowboy is melodic as all hell, and it's my favorite 'full-band' album by the group. certain posters shouldn't posture like against me! used to play like discharge, because they didn't.

such a good pop song, and white crosses is a good pop album. i feel like if it was released by a band not fronted by tom gabel then it would be much less disliked. i'm okay with their direction as long as they put out good songs, i've always got the acoustic ep or as the eternal cowboy if i need the punx.
