We know that with ALL self-ligating brackets on the market accumulations of plaque and calculus lead to certain difficulties concerning handling. With opening this can result in accidentally damaging of the clip, which is unfortunately irreversible.
Thanks to the innovative idea of FORESTADENT (Germany) there is now the possibility to replace the clip of their Quick 2.0 and QuicKlear brackets, once it was damaged by the orthodontist or the assistants through to wrong handling or shows a blocked mechanism.
Compared with replacing the whole bracket, which leads to additional costs for the orthodontist in form of chairtime and material, this idea presents a fast, easy and inexpensive solution for damaged clips.
With the help of FORESTADENT, Dr. Lina María Quintero (Colombia) is showing us in this video how easy it is to replace the clips with Quick 2.0 and QuicKlear selfligating brackets.
The whole procedure just takes a minute of your time ... Great, isn't it?
Thank you very much Dra. Lina Ma. Quintero and Federico Orozco for your kind contribution with this great idea and video.
