This is my Vintage KitchenAid KDS-18 Supurba Dishwasher. This was a trash find that I was hoping to install in my kitchen, but unfortuanately the tub is rusting... so instead, it went in my basement, and I use it as a parts washer for car and lawnmower parts :P Unfortunately, it's nearing the end of its days, as it is rusting around the pump, and has started leaking around the motor. Plus, when I tried to run it (prior to this video), the pump was seized....

  • I hope you pillage parts off this beauty when the time comes for a permanent retirement. There's a pretty big following for theses machines, especially this particular model.

  • See my videos of "Resurrecting the KDS-18" I found an In-Sink-Erator dishwasher with a bad motor and was able to transfer the KitchenAid motor and front panel onto the In-Sink-Erator.

  • I haven't looked at it in quite awhile but I'm pretty sure it does, I'll have to check next time I go there.

  • ok thanks!

  • That's very much like the Kitchen-aid in my Grandmas kitchen, hers is from the early 60s and has no rust but has a broken dryer heating element.

  • I believe I saw your vid. I do have a question , though. Does your grandmother's have a sprayer on the top of the tub? Mine just shoots straight down...

  • I have a question, I have this exact diswasher in the gold color with the original ad book, instruction manual, and purchase receipt. It works, but I am not sure how well. I want to sell it, do you have a recommendations as to where I can sell it?

  • you can save it with jb weld

  • What does that light green thing actualy?

  • HEY this is exactly the same as my washer 'cept it was made in Don Mills, ON Canada (which i live not to far from).

there is a 'very' small plastic spray head at the top of the tub... one time it fell off and i just snapped it back on :P

    my washer works perfectly well.
