The Community Alliance for Global Justice (CAGJ) is a grassroots, membership-based organization that works for a just local and global economy. As one of CAGJ's main programs, the Food Justice Project (FJP) seeks to connect local food and sustainable agriculture movements to broader struggles for justice. It strives to increase the self-sufficiency of individuals, strengthen community resiliency, and facilitate social connections and mutual assistance.
This slide show highlights the various Teach Out! events that have taken place over the past six months and also features a sneak preview of some of the original chapter illustrations from Our Food, Our Right: Recipes for Food Justice. Furthermore, it demonstrates how these two projects are intertwined. Through Teach Out! farm and site visits, community members get the chance to learn about and make connections within their local food system. Our Food, Our Right then provides a chance to share this knowledge with the greater community and encourages involvement in the food justice movement.
Our Food, Our Right will be available in its entirety for the first time on November 28th and 29th at the People's Summit being held on the 10th anniversary of the 1999 WTO protests in Seattle.
This is just regurgitated leftist collectivism tied to the global warming initiative in a never ending effort to destabilize and do away with western civilization and more specifically, anything American, Capitalist and FREE! It's a laughable, delusionally optimistic and FAILED system that the hippies of the 60's started and just refuse to let go. Go ahead and hold onto your delusions - when the Jihadists finally conquer the West, you'll all be clutching your hoes wandering what happened!
