"The Criminal Code states that a prohibited firearm is:...any firearm prescribed as prohibited....Former Prohibited Weapons Order No. 13 (in effect since January 1, 1995)...The firearms of the designs commonly known as the SG-550 rifle and SG-551 carbine, and any variants or modified versions of them."
From a legal standpoint, in Canada, the PE90 is a derivative of the 540 and thus non-restricted for rifle lengths and restricted for carbine lengths.

It is a 551. The PE90 (SG 550) is the standard assault rifle of switzerland and it has a 20" barrel. The SG 551 has a LB 17.9" or a SB 14.3" barrel.
You have a SG 551 SB (SB = short barrel)
