  • @irish89055 I bid you peace. Or maybe just peas. But either way, I'm audi.

  • @CinemaDemocratica the forum for a debate but would put my love of the documentary viewed since the 1960's including the all but extinct network documentary to a debate against your trained knowledge of the Cinematic arts. This New York City documentary is not without faults at times, including minor mistakes and David OgdonStiers, at times, pompous narration...I think the score is a wonderful compliment to this indepth presentation..in a world of 60 -120 minute documentaries.

  • @CinemaDemocratica I looked at XKCD... the one at MIT... a film class I assume.. what's the point? I enjoy Youtube for many reasons, as I love cinema, documentaries, and finding old shows, ads and favorite music set to inspirational montages. As I've said I enjoy commenting, to compliment, correct or rebuke. You started below by insulting Ric Burns and this beautifully done presentation in the long form documentary. I was moved most by Mr Ric Burns added segments post 9/11. This is not the forum

  • @irish89055 Sorry, Charlie, but you just made my point. Grown-ups don't talk to each other that way. Grown-ups might say (if they *really* thought it was worth getting that riled-up about, which most of them wouldn't), "You know, I'm curious: Where did you go to film school?" Grown-ups would *not* say, "I find you deeply flawed," and grown-ups certainly wouldn't respond to being called out about it by doubling down with "Estupido." Google XKCD youtube.

  • @CinemaDemocratica Speak for your self estupido. I've been on this site for five years now. It is my favorite website and love the ability to voice my opinion or jerk someones chain...Youtube is currently screwed up, but what I can see of your page, you're hardly qualified to comment on this documentary.. such arrogance!

  • @irish89055 Welcome to the tone and content of YouTube comments, everr'body.

  • @CinemaDemocratica i find you deeply flawed....

  • Thanks for posting. I really enjoyed this documentary. From beginning to end.

  • @CinemaDemocratica ...And not that it matters, but this isn't a trailer; it's just the first three minutes of the film -- which isn't the same thing.

  • This is a flawed documentary -- in some ways, *deeply* flawed -- but one cannot help but be awed by the bold decision to try to integrate the story of the towers' construction into that of their downfall, and by the seamless, almost effortless manner in which that integration was carried off. The first fifteen minutes could've done with at least five fewer introductions and title cards, and the last fifteen minutes could've done with substantially tighter interview-editing, but still....
