Grishuk and Platov European Ice Dance Champions 1997. Gala

Oksana Grishuk and Evgeny Platov were the winners of the European Ice Dancing Championships of 1997 and this was the gala at the end of those championships.

The skating is done on the music of Madonna's 'You'll See', but recently my video got blocked because of this song and is owned by WMG. To have this video still up and running I could choose by doing audio swap, which i have done. So please respect that this is not the original music. I replaced it with some beautiful classical music.

I had to change it, not because I wanted to. Madonna's music is part of the owner's right of WMG and since WMG has broken it's contract with YouTube, YouTube is forced to delete every music content and/or video that is owned by WMG. I could only keep this video up if I would use other music that is not owned by WMG. You will find lots of videos deleted here on YouTube that were using music of artists owned by WMG.

This was my favourit program not because of their routine but because of the music, the music was half the reason I love it, Madonna's "You'll See". So now I finally found this routine on youtube but not with the original song :(((((

Gorgeous & deeply moving! I LOVE it edited exactly this way with this music. I watched this version before watching w/the original music & interpreted it to be about marital strife and the give and take between man and wife. I lost respect for her when I watched the original & it turned out to be about her chasing after a man that cheated. The words were "you'll see" as in '...how strong I am' while she was pathetically chasing/clinging. Your version w/Dax's music is the best.

@nushkat29 Killjoys? It's called GREEDY.  They don't seem to realize that people hear the music or song and like it and say "wow, I would like to buy that!" and so they get sales. This is free advertising for them.

And frankly, this is my favouirite one of those - such tenderness and romance and then her leaving just out of the blue..

Remember watching it for the first time - I was delighted!
