Always hated these pesky American high school band know it alls who think they deserve a place in the Vienna Philharmonic.

  • @DeathOfFlesh Just because you come from a corps-style band doesn't mean you're the final authority on music or marching.

Having seen the guard change at Arlington firsthand, I've got to say I like this one better. And you know what? I'm not wrong for thinking that. Why? Because it's what I like, just like you like the one at Arlington better. There's room for both, and they're both good. Or am I talking to the guy who thinks everything he likes is factually, objectively better than the rest?

  • Coldstream Guards have their buttons in pairs.

No military guards or bands in America ever do that little shuffle step to stay aligned. Watch the US Marine Corps band or the Silent Drill Platoon and you'll hear and see precision at its best. Also, none of our soldiers are portly like some of the royal guardsmen are. I'm surprised they allow such stout soldiers in the elite regiments at all.

  • @DeathOfFlesh Hahahahahaha

  • Somehow I would think theres a little more history in this ceremony than your high school & I think that this is far better.

  • alright first of all my high school marching band can play better and watch the changing of the guards in the tomb of the unknown in AMERICA AND THEN YOU WILL SEE HOW ITS CORRECTLY DONE !!!!!!

  • 1.22 that bugler is fucking terrible

  • Sorry you are completly wrong,it is not the individual but the CUSTOM of the Grenadiers, just watch this years trooping the colour which will be the Grenadiers,(after coming back from Afgan) and you will hear it more often.Another thing that is a custom is they never use the word YES.

From one in the know a former Sgt grenadier Guard

  • I believe the word they're using is PIKE and it goes back to when the Guards used PIKES in battle
