Killer tone !!! Amazing playing too !!

From the Flock to Mahavishnu to the Dreggs. Sugar Cain Harris is another fine violin player.

well said, florafox. great combination of intensity + creativity. always great. the soul soars.

aaah, the master ! giving a lecture to all those violin players who consider themselves as "revolutionary" . Even Jean-Luc Ponty who plays on a high level hasn't got this power.

damn, still ripipng it! I have 'On the Future of Aviation' and ' it's alive CD's, both kick ass. A pity about JH though I would kill to see the MO again, or have Jan get doqn and jam again with Al DiMeola & co.

man, this guy will give any metal/fusion shredder guitarist a run for their money

Goodman's sound and "edge" is unique and. to my ears, is where a lot of guitarists have tried, with varying degrees of sucess, to go. Jerry in this clip sounds like he reaches this place easily. I still hear the same Jerry as from "The Flock" days in Chicago. One of my most interesting music experiences was back in those days jamming for hours (days?) in Tom Knogl's studio near Chicago Ave and Rush St. What a rush! Any Chicago folks know where Tom is these days? - Jack in San Diego

I don't think the problem was with Jerry Goodman . In a number of interviews John McLaughlin has said he once organised a re union concert with the members of 1st Mahavishnu Orchestra . He said everyone agreed except Jan Hammer.
