The Carrera 906-1 came to Daytona, February 1966, so did the Ferrari 330P3, which is almost identical to a '67 330P4 in body work. ford gsve up on the 'bread van" J-Car, concentratiing on the "Mk.IV" which was not ready for Daytona 1967.
I remember when this car came out. Some called it the batmobile but many of us took one look and realized that that was what a race car was supposed to look like.
This video doesn't give you the exultant howl that the air cooled flat 6 emitted under full throttle.
The 906 was a truly groundbreaking car and the ancestor of both the Ford MKIV and the Ferrari 330P4.
Note to the driver; use the safety harness, it will save your life when you screw up.

@silvercarrera993, yes, He is Tetsu Ikuzawa, first Japanese F-3 winner, Porsche works and F-2 graded driver in 1960's.
