After running side pipes with no mufflers or H pipe for a couple years, I finally got pulled over for it. I decided it was time to put mufflers back on, so i put the original H pipe back on with a pair of Thrush Welded mufflers and some turndowns. Too quiet for me, but it still has a decent sound.

  • i have the same set up. but my h pipe is only a 2in. and thursh welded dont have a 2in muffer. smalest thay have is 2 1/4 so i used a spacer. on them . thay sound really good!! well just like yours. but how did you get the muffer to work with the 2in H pipe? ever parts store i went to told me NOPE thursh weild dont make a 2in. so i went with the 2 1/4. weatin on the tail pipes right

  • I used the 2.5" mufflers and made some adapters from some spare pipe I had laying around.

  • And The Correct Part # Is 17655 For The Record

  • The part number didn't matter, since I didn't have the original tail pipes to put back on.

  • The text "outlet" facing toward the rear of the car is a dead giveaway that they're not on backwards.

  • sounds good to me, pretty sure u gained some hp by having mufflers now as opposed to none...

  • gut my flowtech afterburners on with the h-pipe and 3a 3inch turndowns,,it sound just like this but mine is deeper,,it could just be you camera so that mine sounds deeper,,??,,nice man

  • im doing the same thing ,,will it make the car smell like exhaust inside??

  • how much did it cost?

  • @kenkem396 man $800 for the h-pipe ???? you can get the walker h-pipe at discount auto for $40 ??

  • im doing the same thing with flowtech afterburners instead ,,,,,

  • @kenkem396 UPDATE!! got the tail pipes and its all welded together. this is my cost. one 94 crown vic $800 cash H pipe at u pull and pay $10. two 2 chamber all welded mufflers at Advance Auto $78 for the both. i thenk you can find them cheaper. $27 for the left tail pipe and the same for the right tail pipe. if you like take a look at my video prt 1 and 2

  • i never run turndowns anymore, don't like exhaust in the cabin, i don't even run them on my trucks since i hate the drone turndowns make, i always do side exits Lightning style and full tails on cars and SUV's

i do like the muffler choice, most people don't know that they sound like a FM40 but half the price, i may put one on my Suburban to see how it sounds

  • Nice!!!

  • Terribly sweet sounding to me!!! Think I'll do the same on my 98 P71...very soon. The Thrush weldeds sound every bit as nasty as the Flowmaster 40's at less than 1/2 the price. Yeah, I know they're made in China, Flow fans. But I think I'll get over it.
