This is the most recent release of the TouchFlo Cube interface which features finger scrolling activation. My Tilt is running the OEM Kaiser ROM so user experience may vary depending on your configuration. For detailed information, see the forum thread below. Make sure you use the Alpha 2 CAB found in the second post. If after the first soft reset you get a black screen, reset one more time. If you still get the black screen, follow some troubleshooting steps found in the thread (as I had to do). I had to remove some files from the Startup folder as well as re-install the music plug-in before it all worked properly. But as you can see, it works flawlessly now. Also, when you slide the keyboard out, the phone will disable the cube. Because of this, there is a new program installed called "Re-Start Cube" that you'll find in your Programs menu after installing the Alpha CAB. I assigned this to the voice dial (former PTT) key and just press it right after I slide the phone closed to re-activate the cube.

Using the "Touch Settings" program also found on the forum, I re-mapped the photo button to go to the program HTC Album (another found on the forum) as well as re-mapped the default directory that the Video button takes you to. Touch Settings is a must have for Cube users.

Thanks to duttythroy for all his amazing hard work over at XDA.

  • wat is the model number of this cell

  • AT&T Tilt. Also known as the 8925, TyTn II, the Kaiser, etc. (minor differences in certain ones).

  • is touchflo already on it or did u install is after?

  • out of the box, the tilt (even after i flashed it with the htc rom) had basic finger scrolling and panning using touchflo. however, it wasn't until after installing the cube interface that full touchflo was experienced.

  • it was a tmobile rep that received the G1 for free and didnt like it. i think its crazier that he liked his shadow better than the G1! android is real nice but, has some bugs to work out. its a new os, so it gets a break for now.

  • you traded it for a G1??

who the hell is crazy to trade a g1 in for a tilt???:P
