Flair, on his shoot video, acknowledges that he never agreed to lose the NWA Title to Colon. Flair says Colon wanted that, but he would not lose the title. The one match Colon did win clean-this one-is the one he used to elevate his title to "universal" status, which is bogus because you can count one one hand the number of times he actually defended it outside of PR. And the NWA did not recognize the title as a true "universal" championship. That would have exalted it higher than its own belt.
