They say they have been crippled to their knees and could lose their businesses and homes in a matter of weeks or even days. All because the cost of fuel has skyrocketed in recent months. On average, a litre of diesel now costs £1.25... the truck-drivers protesting today say that time is running out for their industry because their customers are no longer willing to pay for the ever-rising price of goods and services delivered by hauliers.
Report from May 2008
The price of fuel in the UK is OUTRAGEOUS. At this moment, the average price for regular unleaded is around £1.26 per LITRE, with around 75% of that going straight into the government's coffers through pure taxation (fuel duty, constantly being raised.)
They are nothing but a bunch of blood-sucking, greedy bastards. This is highway robbery (no pun intended) thus it's my firm belief that the only way they'll listen to us is if we all stand together (61+ million Brits) and RIOT.

what the gov. dosent understand is the country is made up of the small (family owed) truckers and if for what ever reason they deside to protest or quit the economy will come to a complete stand still
