  • is that an original color and paint.. is it all original?

  • Nearly so - everything is original but the car was in a portable, canvas garage which fell down during a wind storm and caused some scratching. It was immediately painted the original color. What a shame eh? Still a fantastic Stingray!

  • i have delt with both L-82 and L-48 and i believe the L-48 is abetter designed engine. however the L-82 does produce more horse power it is a lower quality (deemed premium by Chevy in the 1970s). 1976 Singray FTW!!!!!

  • they had horrible back pressure from the factory. the rubber seals in this car were crap. the suspenssion and breaks were crap. the t-top models leaked all the time to to bad rubber seals. and they were put together by morons wearing Corvette T-Shirts that never owned a corvette, or worked on one outside of the factory. Sure they look cool!! but if i bought one today?? i would be putting in alot more money than shes worth. they were a dime a dozen. and people want buku money for them.

  • @acid135690 ahhh youre another jap hater.i see. well cars back then on average lasted 5 years where as cars now a days last 10. thats a fact.

  • @chinchillawrangler Your dad doesn't know shit about old/classic cars. The reason these things are still around is because they were built to last. This car is 35 years old and still in amazing condition, as is mine. Find me a Toyota or Kia in 35 years and prove me wrong.

  • im not a fan of these 70's and 80's cars at all. they fall apart too easily, even when they were new according to my dad

  • my father has the exact same car! :)

  • @HornungMoeller exactly, they claimed even in 67 that the stingray was a 260 hp car and in fact under given testing standards, it made well over 400 hp!

  • @acres90 you bet or your know? the L48 could out perform the L82, ive driven this so called piece of shit l48 350, left rubber in second gear, and had my head snapped back in every gear, and i can bring all the way to past 85 to zero again. So i doubt your goverend f150 could keep up with it, but however, mine is a 1980, not a 76, and its drag coefficients are supremely better then that of the 1976's, but its still an okay car.

  • @HornungMoeller Ever read a road test? That slug did 16 sec in the quarter mile. Top speed was 120 mph. But it would beat VW Bug. Wow!
