Labor Union SEIU: Counter COUP by Oakland's new NUHW

On January 27, 09 Andrew L Stern International President of SEIU staged a Coup and gained control of these health care workers. Ironically, the next day National Union of Health Care Workers stages a mutiny.

Today, they demonstrated or celebrated their successful Counter Coup on SEIU and Andrew L Stern from Washington. They said that they were upset by his move and immediately with disgruntled former officers to form their new union. Today was a show of strength.

Now, NUHW acknowledges facing bankruptcy as they have been ordered by a Federal Court to pay back $1.57 million of what they illegally took from SEIU-UHW members. But NUHW is trying to back out of their obligation to repay us. They filed a motion in Federal Court asking to defer payment, stating that they do not have the resources and could face bankruptcy. The judge said no, and now NUHW has to pay.

I used to be in SEIU many years ago. It was the most corrupt worthless union in history. Glad the rebels won.
