@TOYDOLLSKID This is called a workover rig. This is NOT a drilling rig. It performs various maintenance tasks on wells already drilled. This one was running tubing for an oil well. This particular well was drilled to 3,600 Ft in 2007 by a Cameron drilling rig with a 110' mast. In addition to being 3,600 deep , it is horizontal 2,500 ft. It was a very sophisticated drilling job - the same techniques currently employed in the marcellus shale

@jeedo31 For those of you with no oil field experience, this is NOT a drilling rig; it is a workover rig that performs various maintenance tasks on wells after they are drilled. this workover rig was performing a tubing job on a new oil well. This well was drilled in 2007 to 3,600 ft, and is also 2,500 ft horizontal. This was drilled with a Cameron rotary rig with a 110' mast. It was a $700,000 well to drill
