This is a sort of raid guide made for guild reference, though hopefully it will help anyone in need of more information. Unfortunately, with the upcoming care bear buff to Dragon Soul, all of these fights are about to get a hell of a lot easier.

Here's the description of the fight given in the video. It might not be written word for word to how I say it in the video, as I'm sure there were things I had to add along the way. Sorry if anything is missing from the written version.

Hey Guys, this is Psyence, and in this video I'm going to be discussing the Die with Music approach to Warlord Zon'ozz. We decided to split our raid into 2 groups of 4, excluding the tank and tank healer. Seeing as there's a lot of movement in this fight, we decided to leave our tank healer in an isolated location in order to deal with the sometimes sporadic tank damage. Your melee and ranged groups should be composed of 3 dps and 1 healer, assigning the most mobile healer to the ranged group. At the start of the fight, the tank should face Zon'ozz towards the ranged group, until he casts Void of the Unmaking. This will summon an orb which must be bounced back and forth by your melee and ranged groups so many times, before eventually allowing it to hit Zon'ozz triggering phase 2. Immediately after Zon'ozz summons the Void, your tank should face Zon'ozz away from the rest of the raid, due to the boss's ability Psychic Drain. Psychic drain hits in a front cone for roughly 120,000 shadow damage and heals the boss for 10 times the amount of damage dealt. That's pretty much a given why you face him away.

Now as for the void, how many times your raid bounces it is mostly dependant apon how much your healers can sustain, as the more times it's bounced, the more damage it does each time. However, you don't want to bounce it too few times, as each bounce will add an additional 5% damage that Zon'ozz takes apon entering phase 2, and you might need the extra damage to deal with the short enrage timer. The trajectory of the void depends apon the angle your groups hits it, meaning both groups may have to continuously accomodate for uneven bounces. We have that 7 bounces the first time, and 5 times everytime after, was easily manageable, and left us plenty of time to beat the enrage. Obviously your ranged group will be the last to hit it, leaving your melee in charge of getting out of the way when you're ready to enter phase 2.

Apon entering phase 2, your raid should meet up at a designated location, as this will help with Aoe heals. This is primarily the burn phase, where cooldowns and heroism are advised. It's also a good idea to rotate your healer's cds through the different times you'll enter phase 2. For the first half of phase 2, zon'ozz will only stand there and channel, but shortly after will turn and start hitting the tank again. After phase 2 ends, you got back to the very start of phase 1, where you'll once again need to face zon'ozz towards the ranged group, and turn him after he summons the void.

The last key aspects of this fight to note are Zon'ozz's 2 other abilites, Focused Anger and Disrupting shadows. Focused Anger is a stacking buff on Zon'ozz that increases his physical damage done by 10% per stack. This causes the tank to take increasing damage throughout phase one, however these stacks are dropped everytime you enter phase 2. Disrupting Shadows is a debuff put on random players that ticks for 36,000 damage every 2 seconds and needs to be dispelled. However, when it's dispelled, it deals 60,000 to the dispelled player, and knocks them back. This needs to be monitored closely, as this can kill players at low health, knock players into the void at inopportune times, or even set players up to be killed once the void hits. Make sure the player is topped off before being dispelled, and quickly healed after.

That pretty much covers the Warlord Zon'ozz encounter. Check back for more Die with Music raid guides and other videos, and don't forget to Like, Favourite, and Subscribe to help this channel out. Hopefully this guide has been helpful, but if you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comment section below. And now, I leave you to enjoy the rest of this video, one of our many downings of Warlord Zon'ozz.
