嘉應州五華 朱亞南派 朱家教 CHU GAR GAO KUNGFU

朱家教,嘉應州(現梅州)五華客家拳術,是由朱亞南請得拳師劉廣才入府授拳,再傳子朱進, 民國時朱進經汕頭去行醫教拳,後派徒弟五華人黃振強30年代在汕頭火車橋頭(現潮汕路汽 車站附近)教拳,徒弟中主要有4位同鄉學得最好:鍾庭芳,藍本青,古先生,(藍,古二位後來回五華),另一位徒弟後來去香港.鍾庭芳40年代在汕頭開理髮廳"真巧新"并教­拳,朱家教在汕頭流傳至今.套路有:粗五項,幼五項,七星步,鳳爪,對折,和手,四門散手,橋手陰陽八百,拳用鳳眼拳,馬步前弓後座,屬於高馬步.
朱家弟子在五華潮汕流傳的鳳爪手就是模仿黃雀的手法.傅說是在山林寺院中見黃花雀相鬥之靈感而創.
根據香港朱家教所提供資料,香港朱家螳螂源於福建少林寺當家劉才官，因觀螳螂互毆，創出此拳。後與同窗好友孔亦僧友善，互研拳術、孔氏再傳朱亞南，再傳子朱進古,再傳黃福­高、傳至劉水宗師。劉傳孫興,楊壽,朱冠華,葉喜、楊秀、朱啟明、黃來、李先等、因客家口音有別，分成朱家教、周家教、方家螳螂、江西竹林寺螳螂等，統稱南螳螂。該派以千­字頭、筲箕背、蛙仔肚疊骨功、擒拿、捉批割削為特點。拳套有三步箭、三步搖手、四門散手、十二枝散手。器械主要有三步箭棍。

朱家教的源流歷史在國內的武術典籍記載中一直非常清楚，也沒有其他名稱。
以上東江派朱家螳螂及潮汕朱家教的說法相當接近:
創拳劉廣才(廣東人喜歡稱呼人在人名後面加個官字,例如:劉天賜叫賜官,鄭少秋叫秋官),傳給朱亞南.
兩家之拳母套路動作一樣,方向,馬步,幾多下手勢,發勁講究完全一樣,只是有人打得硬點,有人打得鬆彈一點,也就是說方拳與圓拳之分別.有分別是東江派說手勢模仿螳螂,潮­汕說模仿黃雀.但出手幾乎一樣.
通過最近與香港朱家教有關的老師傅接觸過後，得到的資料是：香港一直比較出名的朱家螳螂，是師承劉瑞前輩的客家口音中的朱家教，另外有一派是葉瑞的周家螳螂，師承劉瑞客家­口音的周家教，也因為客家口音周朱同音，所以兩派的源流各有說法。但是，國內的朱家教與香港通過接觸之後，兩地朱家的歷史源流非常吻合。由於無法找到周家教的發源地是哪個­地區那個鄉，也無法找到國內外（除了劉瑞傳葉瑞一脈之外）另有相同的流派，所以也沒有資料.
由於以前香港人對客家地方名不熟悉,又因客家話"周"同"朱"同音,有人將"嘉應州朱家教"誤解為"嘉應,周(州)家教".
另有一派是乾隆時羅浮山朱龍拔所流傳,有人稱客家洪拳,潮州叫"低馬朱家教",民初由海豐人陳南枝去揭陽傳開而叫南枝拳,與嘉應州朱亞南無關,拳法亦是完全不同的兩派.
Chu Gar Gao, also call Zhu Jia Jiao, it is a kind of traditional Hakka Kungfu from Wuhua, Guangdong. Since 1930's Wuhua Master teaching it in Shantou (Chaozhou).

His movement is smooth, fluid, with nice jing control and rhythm as it should be. A lot of Chu Gar is done with far too much tension, his is clearly done with internal power and mental focus. Very nice.

That's a good pick up. I can definetly see the similarity, especially up to the first turn. After that it needs a bit more imagination but still similar. This style however is supposed to have a seperate lineage from Lau Soie. It comes down from Chu Ah Nam, then his son, then Wong Fook Go's brother and to another master unrelated to Lau Soie.
