I never actuall saw Jersey Girl. Chasing Amy, his supposed best film, wasn't terrible, but like you I wasn't too into it. His movies are usually well written though. I loved Clerks, though it's one those movies that can lose your attention if you can't get past the first 15-20 min. Dogma is probably his best to me, but I actually I think I like Jay and Silent Bob even more just because it was insane.

Ok, you I respect. You're able to express an opinion without taking jabs. In truth I enjoyed the first Clerks but films like Chasing Amy, and Jersey Girl didn't hold my attention. Like you say it is a matter of opinion and perspective. But thanks for not being an asshole. Later buddy.

Just out of curiousity why are you bored with his stuff? Kevin Smith puts out a wide variety a different kinds of funny in his movie. Yes, some of it is really vulgar, but at the same time, he's just pushing the envelope without actually showing gross things. He leaves much of it to the imagination and you don't even realize it. But like I said, it's all a matter of opinion and perspective.

My comments were not so much about your dislike of Kevin Smith's films as much as how you expressed them. I don't feel you have to worship Mr Smith, just don't get nasty about it (and then wonder why fans of his get offended).

Not really, I have no problem with anyone that doesn't care for his films.There are lots of directors and films that just aren't my taste. I just don't feel the need to attack their career and film-making abilities on a comment page that has nothing to do with either. Perhaps there is a "I Hate Kevin Smith Films" blog you can join if you feel this strongly about this specific director. BTW, "I am bored by his stuff" is the most reasonable thing you have said about his films.

Well I am bored by his stuff. But I don't have a problem with him personally. Some of his choices. I think that there is better comedy out there. Smarter stuff. But again its personal taste. Thanks for not attacking me for not enjoying his work. This fawkesee guy has been jumping anyone who dosen't worship at a Kevin Smith alter. Thanks bud.

The fan or Kevin Smith? I like Kevin Smith movies because he doesn't cater to any particular group of people and you can just laugh, or not laugh if you prefer, and have a good time.
