Ni Wayan Sulasmi is a very exquisite Balinese dancer. Wayan Sulasmi comes from Singapadu, a village few km south of Ubud. Among Balinese, Singapadu has the fame to be the cradle of the most talented artists. And maybe is true. Together with so many other artists, I Nyoman Cerita comes from Singapadu as well. Cerita is a dance master and one of the more valued choreographers and composers in Bali. Among other creations he's the author of beautiful Satya Brasta dance. In the video we can see the general rehearsal of Wiranata dance. The performance takes place at the stage of ARMA (Gunung Rai Museum of Arts), in Pengosekan, south of Ubud. The music is played by Young Gamelan Orchestra. The members of this gamelan orchestra are more than 20 teenagers, mostly high school students coming from Ubud and surrounding villages. During the first 3 minutes the orchestra is directed by the musician and composer I Wayan Sudiarsa (aka Pacet). Though Wayan is in his first twenties he is a very talented musician. From minute 02:11 to 02:50, we can see him playing a drum seating on the floor. He wears a red shirt. On his left side, playing also a drum, seats I Made Putra Wijaya, another young artist from Ubud. Made Putra Wijaya is a very reputed dancer and an excellent musician. From minute 05:37 to 06:03 we can see clearly I Wayan Sugena (aka Opik), from Teges, a village near Ubud, playing the xylophone. Opik is an excellent gamelan player, without any doubt one of the best of the young orchestra. From minute 03:14 the orchestra is directed by I Ketut Cater, a well known and prestigious musician from Pinda, Blahbatuh. Next day, after the general rehearsal, all ARMA Group went to play both dances amd gamelan music to Kawan, a village very close to Mas. /-----------/
