@debaser85 Speaking of evolution, books by Darwin or on Darwinism were banned in Nazi Germany and they also banned the German evolutionist Ernst Haeckel. He did on the other hand greatly admire people like Martin Luther, in fact a German pastor stated in 1933 that "Hitler would not have been possible without Martin Luther".
@debaser85 Atheists? In Japan shintoism was a de facto state religion, the Nazis merged regional churches and founded a unified christian state church and the NSDAP party program advocated Christianity. The Wehrmacht oath to Hitler began with the words "I swear by God this sacred oath" , the soldiers wore beltbuckles inscribed with "Gott mit uns" - "God with us" , and the civil servant oath ended with the words so "help me god" and so did the Waffen SS oath.
@cogiskart Another war story (as written in wikipedia): Deputy camp commander in Auschwitz, pick 10 men to be starved to death in an underground bunker in order to deter escape attempts. When one of the selected men, Franciszek Gajowniczek, cried out, "My wife! My children!", another prisoner volunteered to take his place.
The question for you: who is catholic priest and who is atheist in this story?
@debaser85 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, OH MY STOMACH! I'M DYING OF LAUGHTER SERIOUSLY! You think that you can't have morals if you're not religous? You're silly, i'm not talking to you anymore. Then every woman should shut up and you should be stoned because that's what chrisitans do.
@cogiskart He was killing because there was no reason he should't. Remove from the legal code all laws against theft, rape, murder... This is what atheists does, because as Nietzsche wrote when God dies words like good and evil carry no meaning.
@debaser85 You can say the exact same thing about christianity. The fact is that no war has ever been started because of atheism. Stalin (she? what?) never started a war because he was atheist. He never killed because he was atheist. He killed because he was fudgin crazy. As was Hitler and Mao and so on. If every atheist left america you'd loose 93% of your scientists but less than 1% of your prison population. Think about that. Religion is dangerous. Always have been, always will be
@cogiskart Als the Combodia's regime members were educated at the best french universities, I guess tough atheism. When they took over the power first thing they did was sending Buddhism monks to reeducation camps. I recommend for you to read "Pol pot's Smile" by Peter Fröberg Idling that describes how Swedish intellectualists reacted to the crimes made by fellow atheists.
Stalin was attending ordodox seminary where she rebelled against religous order, would it be better for millions if didnt?
@jimmyn89SWE For atheists those were only words.
