Wow this looks amazing, I really hope you can get some of this down on paper. I would really like to do this to my tiburon. With you mod this is very similar to Swtichback LED in a sense its white and when you turn the blinker on it goes yellow/amber.
Do you think you could use maybe a smaller LED 12mm Diffused RGB LED Pixels?
I would really like to try an attempt this! Thanks

Very Nice. Looking all over for a SMD 5050 / WS2801 Pixel. Found a 5 meter strip type, but the spacing is all wrong. I can cut the strip Per/ Pixel then re-tie in the leads. I did find a SMD 5050 / TM1804 Pixel but I can't find a data sheet for the TM1804, the hunt is on! Thanks for the idea for a fun project.

Noticed this on Hackaday and seems no one has asked this yet.(and maybe i didn't hear it in the video) what is the led matrix/honeycomb/display that you used? Is it custom built with all RGB leds and resisters, or did you get them pre made?
Also as a thought if you wanted to possibly add the same thing to the back end for actual Driving purposes (which is what i have been thinking of doing to my Tc2) but you could add in the Arduino code a setting to spell U turn with the Led's.
