Used the continuous drive mode on my camera to capture JP lighting the last fire before he goes to college. Dumped about 2 gallons of gasoline.
Compiled 106 photos into final cut pro and added a cross dissolve to each frame.

  • is this fire for your guys clan meeting?

  • Cool, but isn't that fire kind of too big to be so close to the trees? If a shower of sparks/embers flies up and starts igniting the trees, how would they stop it?

    Most all campfires I have seen, tend to be somewhat small, so as to not burn up all the fuel at once and prolong the warmness.

    I think more forest fires could be left to burn out on their own, in remote wilderness, but we still can prevent. A gasoline "poof" is hardly a "natural" fire, more beautiful in its natural way.
