This video shows how I establish the eyes and mouth in the washes. I use a Squirrel Mop because of its softness and ability to hold lots of water and pigment, and its ability to come to a very fine point for details.

  • Hi, whenever I try to blend by doing a graded wash, I get a hard edge after it dries anyway. What should I do to avoid those?

    Your paper needs to be damp in order to avoid hard edges. If it is damp on the under-side, the moisture will help you soften dried edges. I hope this helps.
