Salaaam.Shiek Mishary Al Afasy was educated in the Holy city of Medina college / university where upon he recited the Holy Quran to various well known Imaams one Imaam from Egypt. From here we can understand the influence and motivation he must have gained from these blessed Imaams. Alhamdulillah

I'm not saying what the Imam is doing is wrong. I just think the guy who posted the video is using inappropriate words to describe it. Just say the Imam is reviewing or practicing the Surah's before leading the prayers. Not that hes "backstage" and having a "rehersal" "before he goes on".
Makes it sound like hes about to go perform in a concert.

Thank you for your comments, no they did not study together neither is he alafasys student. And it was filmed by one of his shaikhs'. And yes its very nice when he speeds up.
