  • @Amenakhte the 2x8, i think the 2500k only supports dual channel memory

  • But RAM is volatile memory you would lose everything once you shut your computer down.

For a average person who isn't running his computer 24/7 this would mean re-installing the frequently used programs on the RAM based virtual drive each morning and then lose it by night or when ever the pc is turned of. Tedious work.

  • Will oc genie 2 oc my ram also. Ps i have these.

  • im getting a i5 2500k mobo with the dual channel mobo, is it better to get the 4x4gb or the 2x8gb version of this product?

  • @iToiletDK No, it's the product ID ;)

  • @TheNStormofJustice ROFL.

Hey newegg, this guy needs a prize for watching all your videos to the at most extent.

  • @haschtekaschte

Yup, this just means you can fit an entire program into RAM for super fast loading. If you are a gamer than you want this for resource hogging games like Saints Row. This is a kind of profile option that tells the PC "Load this into RAM at Startup" you still need to save the info to your HDD or SSD first

  • @ScottXiong

Don't worry this will get super cheap by summer once all the other RAM manufacturers jump on board and undercut Corsair. If you buy this now than your paying the early adopters tax
