This is so depressing. Not the band I saw two years ago at all. And even then, they definitely weren't at their best. But now, Rory's gone. No original members. Boz's drumming style does not complement these songs at all. Matt doesn't look or sound like Matt at all. Instead of just hitting the notes, Tony tries making his voice sound nice all the time. In the struggle, he does neither. Chris is fine, I guess, but I grew up listening to them with Shiflett and Nassie. It's just weird.

@Ericuda Thanks for your comment! I felt very disappointed by this show as well, something wasn't quite right about it. Tony was too hammered (drunk) this night, so that didn't help, but you are right ... this isn't the NUFAN we love. Good news is that I have seen them about a month ago, and they have gotten better! Please check the playlist (on my YouTube homepage) of the -entire- gig of NUFAN @ W2 Den Bosch (2011). These new vids are the silver lining on the clouds, me thinks. Enjoy!

@ihearttheweakerthans Yeah, much better. Thanks for letting me know. This lineup is definitely skilled. It's just not the No Use I grew up with. I didn't think Rory would ever leave. Oh well, I guess. I'm sure the new album's gonna be amazing. I hope it's a little harder than the recent ones.

i keep watching more videos from this set and its just disappointing to see one of my favorite bands ever (since 1995) sound this bad.

this fucking drummer is botching every song in this set, the dude is awful. he isnt playing anything correctly, hes slowing stuff down, and he looks like a fucking retard when he plays. they went from being a solid live band to this? so weak and rough sounding. the tightness is gone. and yes, hes the permanent new drummer. apparently rory left in december. so long, no use.
