One of the best songs Third Eye Blind has ever made :D

Lyrics:

I'm packed and I'm holding
I'm smiling, she living, she golden
She lives for me
Says she lives for me
Ovation
her own motivation
She comes round and she goes down on me
And I make her smile
It's like a drug for you
Do ever what you want to do
Coming over you
Keep on smiling,
What we go through
One stop to the rhythm that divides you
And I speak to you like the chorus to the verse
Chop another line like a coda with a curse
I come on like a freak show takes the stage
We give them the games we play,

She said
I want something else

To get me through this
Semi-charmed kind of life (Baby, baby)
I want something else
I'm not listening when you say
Good-bye

The sky it was gold, it was rose
I was taking tips of it to my nose
And I wish I could get back there
Some place back there
Smiling in the pictures you would take
Doing crystal meth
Will lift you up until you break
It won't stop
I won't come down,
I keep stock
With a tick-tock rhythm
A bump for the drop
And then I bumped up
I took the hit that I was given
Then I bumped again
And then I bumped again
I said..
How do I get back there to
The place where I fell asleep inside you?
How do I get myself back to
The place where you said

I want something else
To get me through this
Semi-charmed kind of life (Baby, baby)
I want something else
I'm not listening when you say
Good-bye

I believe in the sand beneath my toes
The beach gives a feeling
An earthy feeling
I believe in the faith that grows
And the four right chords can make me cry
When I'm with you I feel like I could die
And that would be all right
All right

And when the plane came in
She said she was crashing
The velvet it rips
In the city
We tripped
On the urge to feel alive
But now I'm struggling to survive
Those days you were wearing that velvet dress
You're the priestess, I must confess
Those little red panties
They pass the test
Slides up around the belly
Face down on the mattress
One
And you hold me
And we're broken
Still it's all that I want to do, just a little now

Feel myself head made of the ground
I was scared, I'm not coming down, no no
And I won't run for my life
She's got her jaws now locked down in a smile
But nothing is all right
All right

I want something else
To get me through this...
Life.......baby
I want something else
I'm not listening when you say
Good-bye x4

The sky it was gold, it was rose
I was takin tips of it to my nose
And I wish I could get there
someplace, back there
In the place we use to start our lives
I want something else

  • And the four right chords can make me cry. Truer words have never been spoken by anybody.

  • These are seriously some of the best pop vocals ever written. He doesn't reuse any note progressions (except the chorus) and EVERYTHING still works. Anyone who's tried writing lyrics has to be in awe of how good this is.

  • I miss the 90's best time of my life.

  • 1997 for life

  • @Maafa1619 And you must understand that nickelodeon was fucking groundbreaking. Snick? Yeah, I said "snick". Know what that is? If you don't then what the fuck are you doing here? All your friends dead?? I'm sorry, but again, don't ruin other's times with your sadness and melancholy. We have a lot of life left still. MTV wasn't absolute shit yet, either. Videos from 10p-6a, which is when we lived, as latch-key kids. Nothing but respect for elders until they disrespect us.

  • @Maafa1619 Really dude, really. Born in 85 and I had my best years in the 90's. Whether I "knew anything" about or in the 90's you could NEVER know. I met my wife in 1999. We were married in 2009. Do you really enjoy ruining other's good memories? That's how we all know you weren't a part of that kick-ass, pre-9/11 time. It was a spiritual live and let fuck time. No, it wasn't the 60's, we didn't refuse service to blacks. We enjoyed the sun and got high. Please leave.

  • @Maafa1619 sounds like you had the prime of your life either a real long time ago, or never even had one, because I'm 30, which means you're a lot older than I am apparently, yet you're still on here arguing like a little bitch. Like I said go be old and over the hill, somewhere else.

  • Something positive about the 90s.

  • a song about crystal meth addiction that sounds upbeat and happy...intentionally ironic.

  • Y2K didn't effect the computers it effected the music
