Here is a view from driving through the West Rock Tunnel heading north on the Merritt Parkway. Technically this section of Rte 15 is called the "Wilbur Cross Parkway" but nobody calls it is that. Most people refer to all of Rte 15 in CT as the Merritt Parkway and the part in NY as the Hutchinson Parkway. The camera on my Treo650 doesn't adjust to light changes very well, but on this video that results in some pretty colors. One reason is that the tunnel is lit with sodium vapor lamps, which is rare now a days.
It helps for our seniors , Andrea and Todd,who forgot that they went through the tunnel

D'oh! Were there a lot of other cars? That is always me biggest fear going through this (and all tunnels)...a bad accident blocking the tunnel so there is no way to get out!

lol, on the thumbnail it looked like there was a fire there. Pretty nice colors, the actual color of the tunnel is a orangish like you see in the video just before you enter
