It was a very frosty morning and all cars windscren are covered in ice. And this driver did not do the job properly - he only scraped the ice off - in the middle of the windscreen! He's sitting on the right so he only get half of the view from his driver seat.

Do you think he can see the whole area? Cyclists? Peds crossing? The answer is no.

  • 20 seconds with some de-icer would sort that out.

  • @AlexA1ex Perhaps, yeah. But he did start with the middle... might as well as make the effort to scrape off the ice on the driver side. :/

  • I saw a car about three weeks ago drive pass my school, which is next to a primary school, with frost on his windscreen. He hadn't even bothered to scrape any of it off. How he could see i don't know but i'm surprised he didn't kill anyone.

  • @traintimmy Nasty.

  • This is one of my pet hates since I always take the time, even if it means my being late, to clear every window before setting off. I do this for the same reason that I always stick to a 30 speed limit, I just could not forgive myself if something happened because I was too selfish to drive with due care. It's lazy and selfish and we could do with them off the road entirely.

  • @NastyLiar That is the problem, selfishness.Consideration for others should be priority here.

  • Personally, I take a good 15-30 minutes to properly prepare my car for a driving on a frosty morning. I scrap the windows thouroghly, check the engine and what not else. However, my wife on the other hand dosen't. I see her driving out with a windscreen similar to the Merc in the video. I hate it. :-)

  • I like what you did there asking the driver to back-up a bit, why not just ask them to go back home and make a proper cleaning of the windscreen?!? ; > ]

  • I dont know how some ignorant impatient person can not scrape off the ice from the windows and like this clip I too see people only scrape the middle!

as for me I scrape every window on the cars I drive before I take off! even the mirrors and lights depending on darkness!

  • it does not take a minute to clear a car windscreen even water can do a windscreen as well so the reel answer is he could not be arsed to do it right or at all.

  • This is one of my pet hates. Another one a lot of people forget about is to clear their lights, not as important but still necessary to be as safe as poss.

  • I would have thought that these modern Mercedes-Benzs would have had quick clear windscreens. Maybe the lazy driver hasn't figured how it works yet.

  • Own a +50 grand car - Don't have heated window and 2 minutes

  • WHAT a TWAT! & a MERCEDES driver!

  • yeah i see this alot. its been so bad out in the chicago area cause its been warm. so every dang night its been getting foggy and it freezes on the windshield. i even kicked out one of the project trucks out of my garage so i could park in there cause you had to let the truck warm up for 20 minutes before it was thawed. so probably just tard late for somewhere and gotta go
