thanks 4 clips.. doordarshan have lot of recordings of our great singers.but all of those ecording are in locker of worst and bastered officers of cetral goverment. and they dont hve any prise of it...

Rafi is NOT one of the greatest male singers but only one of the two greats that ever graced the singing field. One is Rafi of course and the other T M Sounderrajan better known as TMS in the Tamil film.
No offense meant to other singers but ONLY these two can change from high pitch to low pitch with ease and seamlessly. Most other singer can sing in only one pitch or if they can they couldn't do it seamlessly.

this man had no idea of his gift .. he opened his mouth and the devine nectar just gushed out, as if coming straight from heaven .. even when singing a sad track, he apparently had a smile on his face .. yet the voice would portray such emotion, distress, and anguish, to bring tears to eyes of listeners .. there is no genre that he could not master .. no song too difficult .. no note too extreme .. i beleive he was a conduit for the devine master ..
