I was a staff writer on the Onion's show "SportsDome" which aired on Comedy Central in 2011. This is one of the stories we did--full credit to David Iscoe (twitter.com/realhumanbeing) for the idea and script. It could have been produced by the CNN team covering the Steubenville rape verdict.

    How is it even possible that this guy is somehow being praised for "overcoming" rape?! It does not matter if he is an athlete or a beggar. Rape is rape, and the victim is the one who will suffer and be scarred forever, while the guy moves on with his life as if nothing happened. So disgusting.
