A Movie I produced for college, displaying a dystopic future where water has turned against mankind, slowly poisoning them and turning them mad with thirst.

Influences behind this short film include Ridley Scott's "Blade Runner" (1982), Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" (1960), Doctor Who "The Waters of Mars", and J.G. Ballard's "The Drowned World"

Music is provided by Stephen Willis (socksofbalhoon) and Tsunami footage by Rene Kragelund

  • if im going to be honest. you come across as extremely arrogant and self obsessed in your films. and im sure u dont intend to.

  • @bugd8m The characters I play or me myself? Haha if you got to know me you would see I am the complete opposite! If it's because of my decision to act in my films, that's just because I love acting and I have the vision in my head and know how to convey it, which also comes in as a director, so I play dual roles. I wouldn't call that arrogance, I would call that ambition :)

  • Another fantastic film by Nick Gott! Well done mate, really enjoyed it. Thought some of the imagery was outstanding, very well directed, and a brilliant soundtrack! More as usual please!!!

  • Marvellous :D Very arty and wet

  • You have put me off drinking water :P

Great video Nick! Lots of dark imagery there and your friends did some good acting with the whole insane look. I was suprised that i got the story right as well because I didn't read the description till afterwards!

  • Really good stuff mate, very arty =P

And Stephen did a great job with the music

  • Quite a compelling and genius piece, Nick! I can definitely see all of those influences jump to life on screen, but it still maintained its originality and honesty. Indeed, those are some excellent works of film to work from.

(Although, I've never read "The Drowned World", is it any good?)

Very excellent work to you and your cast/crew, it was a great example of what short films should be. Hope to see more from you all!

    -Chris

  • Wonderfully dark in its simplicity, it'd be interesting to see your take on a cosy catastrophe
