I even love to play "The Girl..." which has been said by many to be one of the most overplayed songs of all time. ha ha

Yes, They say Joao invented Bossa rhythm.But I dont know the truth. I think it was very natural for them.

Only one I know is both Joao and Jobim's music are grate!

Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes are both dead, but Joao Gilberto still remains with his unique style.

They´re both great, and they both were responsible for the birth of Bossa Nova in the 60´s.

I'm Brazilian, I'm 36 years now, when I don't grow up listen Bossa nova, I was used to listen Brazilian pop music, but when I start to know bossa it takes me, and today I love bossa, it's really good to know that the bossa is loved out Brazil too. If you really like bossa here go some another important names: João Gilberto, Vinicius de Moraes, Nara Leão, Baden Powel, Dorival Caime, Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso, Toquinho and Jorge Bem. Hugs at everybody who likes Bossa Nova.

who really invented bossa nova beat was musucian called joao donato who share an apartment with joao gilberto,and showed him the beat on the piano,than joao went to the bath room whit his gguitar and three days after came up with this new bossa beat is on ruy castro book about bossa nova
