Synopsis:
It's a time when culture is dependent on technology, resources are scarce and all the world's products are provided by a single corporation. It is next week.
Industrial magnate GENE SOSKYH has stolen an invention that generates quantum energy, a natural, green energy source. Instead of allowing humanity to enjoy the benefits of this discovery, he is using it to build a monstrous weapon. Unbeknownst to 28 year-old investigative reporter, ISABELLE DE FLEUR, her journalistic work threatens to unveil Gene's plan.

To stop Isabelle, Gene sends his most lethal apprentice: Special Forces Commander TASHA METHUSA, the renegade heir to an east African dictatorial power. With the unlimited resources of Gene's company at their disposal, Tasha and her troops employ an armada of vehicles and technology to safeguard Gene's plan of world domination.

Tasha's cunning and tenacity force Isabelle to leave Los Angeles on a global quest for the truth. She travels with her Buddhist mentor, FUJI SATORI, and begins to view the world with different eyes.

Isabelle sees what's hidden in plain sight. She constructs her understanding of Gene's technology through references to natural occurrences of quantum energy in folklore and art of ancient and modern civilizations. Their quest leads everyone to the jungle of Madagascar, where Gene is preparing the launch of his photon missile as a final step to enslave humanity.

With These Eyes bears at its core the principle that each individual carries within themselves unlimited potential. In an epic journey across the globe the two women experience, each in their own way, a world that had previously been hidden from them right before their very eyes. This suspenseful and wittingly entertaining novel leaves the reader with Buddhist wisdom and the understanding that energy is everywhere.
