  • Way too much gravel...

  • @DoveCloudiful Actually you are correct. Several months back I ended up removing 3/4ths of the gravel.

  • .

Why use analog thermometer, if you are using a digital thermometer too ?

    .

  • @rogerioctbacwb Just in case the batteries on the digital thermometer fails.

  • how does the light work for this tank? i have read that it is way too hot and damages the tank. had any trouble with this?

  • @emt6523 I don't use the light much because the tank does run a bit warm already with the filter on. Turning the light on causes the temperature to rise significantly. So I just keep it off. I have also read similar reviews that the tank seems to run warm. So far it hasn't been an issue for my fish

  • I'm thinking about getting this tank but I'm confused at how you do water changes. How do you do them for this tank? And is there any preparation I need to do before I put my betta in there?

  • Awesome!! I have a 2 galon hex tank, but I am cycling it, since I totally forgot to at first and my betta died. xP

  • @strictlyformyninja alright thanks! i read somewhere that someone replaced the light with a 10 watt florescent so i might try that for a comparison cuz i don't want the light to stress the fish ya know?

  • Nicely done! I bet if you baffle the filter output a bit he'll build you a beautiful bubblenest. :D I successfully baffled mine with some floating plants and java moss.
