Imagine if they were in today, the cautions would be like 20 laps long lol
-
i see these rules didnt last to long
-
You know, they could have just instituted pit road speed limits and not had any of this.
Holy fuck.
-
@JorgeLBM There is that element of it, but it wasn't as unfair as some made it out to be, and it was definately safer.
-
@STP43FAN1 They close pit when a caution is out because some people may be lucky and be coming in turn 3 when the caution comes out and enter pits immediately while somebody going past start/finish line will be affected. These takes out luck when the caution comes out and gives the opportunity for everybody to enter the pits at the same time.

You see What Crack does to people?
-
It typifies NASCAR's inability to figure out how things work - notice how no mention is made of the REAL problem; the rule closing pit road and forcing everyone to be thrown into pit road all at once instead of letting them dive into the pits when THEY want to when the yellow comes out - they had the staggering they wanted before they started closing pit road when the yellow comes out.
Get rid of the rule closing pit road. Period. Get the officiating tower out of controlling the racing.

@AutoRockinRacing94 not sure, but the car was from the ARCA race the weekend before
-
Insane! I wish I had been at the first meeting where they dropped this on chiefs and drivers.
-
@AutoRockinRacing94 It was an ARCA car.
I think I got it all down. Ok so if your primary sponsor is a food product, you can change tires on the even lapse. If your primary sponsor is not a food product, you can change tires on the odd laps except for 7,11 and lucky number 13. If your primary sponsor is not a food product but somehow contains cheese, you can change tires any time plus your crew gets free milk and cookies every 50 laps. Also, if you have a alcohal sponsor, and you lead a lap with the number 4 in it, everybody drinks.

Weird question: Who was the guy everyone was talking about? My guess is Earnhardt but I'm just curious.
