    I would say most kitchen tasks are harder with a cheap knives, Thomas. I only recently discovered the joy of good knives and it makes a world of difference. If you can at all, save up some money and get yourself a GOOD sturdy, sharp 8" kitchen knife. Wusthof, Henckels, Victorinox, or on the Asian side - Shun, Miyabi, or Tojiro. They'll cost around $100, but will last you a lifetime. Happy cooking!

    All I can say is thank you! Just cut up my first whole chicken and as a student that's quite scary, however it went quite well.... Its very difficult with cheap knives though. Thanks!!
