Opening a Bottle of Wine

I used to do this until my wife walked up with one of my sharp knives and in one move cut the foil from the bottom straight up. The foil just comes right off. A little cork is not going to hurt anything. Just pour your glass first and remove them with a spoon or your fingers.

@shamyscool yea cause its common sense that if the cork is dry then its spoiled...bullshit shamysnotcool

guys, she's just explaining proper form for opening a bottle of wine, ok, lots of things could go wrong in opening a bottle of wine.
The God of wine will laugh at you if you really remove the foil by cutting the top surface!
The proper way is to cut at least 1/4 inch from the top. NEVER rotate the bottle to get the foil cut, instead, you really have to cut the foil by running the blade firmly around the bottle.
And you hold the bottle with your LEFT fingertips ONLY, no grabbing the bottle neck with your left palm!
The front label on the bottle should face the guests at ALL time, that goes without saying.

cuz kids want to drink wine, they gotta find out how to open up the bottle so they can drink the whole bottle by themselves.
