@OpTicOX1G3N Ballet in fact came from Gung-fu. China and Russia, who are the main progenitors of ballet, often exchanged a lot of cultural information and ideas, they took the performance version of Gung-fu which the touring Opera troupes practiced and today is known mainly as Wushu and adopted it into a more stylistic type of dance. My Gf who took ballet for years could not believe that I knew many of the same moves, turns, jump steps, kicks and the like, but with fighting applications and more.

karate guy was a bit skittish, and his hands were not in good neutral position, and towards the end they were down completely. For shame...
One of the best defensive positions for hands is to put them up like a boxer's.

I noticed that whenever kung fu dude tried high kicks he gets knocked on his ass. I know there are alot of guys who can high kick effectively but i never use high kicks. I think unless your much taller than your opponet they are not effective. He also used low kicks to the kung fu guys foundation to knock him off balance when he was trying to do high non effective kicks.

i see no difference in styles only when theyre not fighting

what is the name of these kung fu and karate styles
so, i have a question? i am about to start a shaolin kung fu regime, and i watch the actual techniques and style's that actually look's like a "martial art". but like this video (not to offend anybody) i dont see that same skill used? is it just because you're forced to be offensive with a defense? or is it just a lack of technique? im pretty crossed.

I posted this video over 2 years ago as a begginer. After 6 years of training, only now I feel I'm at an intermediate level of skill. I used begginer deffensive sparring techniques like the spinning hook kick or back kick. There are many different styles of Kung Fu! Focus on basics like stances, punches, and kicks before you learn a form. Choose a style that motivates you to train. Then train single techniques from your form repetitively, understanding the application.

@dHARMa187 if you think theres a "fighting stance" or that stances are of extreme importances, youve been misinformed. fighting is choas and movement. movement is life. standing still is death.

@halfevilracing Stances are just that movement of life, but trained to be stronger!

Yes, these gloves eliminate the possibility to use many animal styles! They need to make sparring gloves that allow maneuverability. Thanx for the comment!
