This in-car video is from the second day of Olympus 2011, where the regional competitors kept the fans entertained after the tragic accident that cancelled the national stages. It was a difficult decision to choose to continue, but we felt it would be the best way to mourn the loss of our rally friend by continuing to race.
Wreck Creek is a picturesque stage. It has some extremely fast parts (on our second run, we hit 118mph!) and some very technical and rocky parts. The stage caught out a couple experienced crews and we made more mistakes than we like. Nonetheless, we finished 3rd in 2WD, 6 seconds behind ACP in the turbo Scion xD. The heart rate monitor in this video is non-functional and the coverage for our GPS speed/distance is less than optimal, unfortunately.
This stage was part of our 2nd place National 2WD, 11th National overall, 1st place Gp5 regional, 2nd place Max-Attack, 3rd place regional day 1 finish. We also achieved the fastest combined time of both runs of Brooklyn, winning the Piloti Challenge by 9.1 seconds over competitors Wyatt Knox/Ole Holter in their Mazdaspeed 3. Behind us were also various Subaru WRXs and STIs, a Mitsubishi Evo, an Audi urQuattro, as well as Hondas, Toyotas, Nissans and BMWs.

Great video!!! I like the telemetrics, but holy cow, Don has got to be one cool customer! My pulse went up just watching this! Crazy speeds, but I like it!
