The 9th Annual Turkish Festival in DC offers a full day of free activities that range from lively folk dancing and musical performances to arts and crafts activities for children and adults. Visitors can also enjoy other much-loved aspects of Turkey such as its delicious cuisine, tradition of coffee fortune reading, and bustling Bazaar.
The Festival brings together a wide range of artists and more than 25,000 Washingtonians and DC visitors in an environment that fosters intellectual curiosity and leads to engaging interactions, all while enjoying Turkish food and coffee, browsing and shopping at the Turkish Bazaar, and watching heart-stomping stage performances as well as mesmerizing traditional art demonstrations.
This year Washington DC and Ankara cities are signing a sister city agreement, which will be announced and celebrated at the Turkish Festival. To rejoice this exciting occasion FOMGET -- Ankara Folklore and Music Youth Ensemble - and famous Turkish Singer Ferhat Gӧçer are coming all the way from Ankara to give special performances for the Festival-goers.
The Festival will take visitors on a journey through two continents and thousands of years of rich history. Festival attendees will be able to leave their worries behind and feel as if they have traveled across oceans and through time.

Street parking is available in addition to nearby garages. The Festival is accessible by public transportation: From Metro Center, take the G and 13th Street Exit and walk south to Pennsylvania Avenue. From Federal Triangle, take 12th Street Exit; follow 12th Street North to Pennsylvania Avenue.
