it is still vista -.-

Yeah this is slow as fuck.

I think everyone should remove Norton. If you read my comment above, it seems that processor speed has an effect on boot times (I have Core 2 Duo, 1.66ghz).

I get to Vista Premium desktop from pushing start in 42 seconds on my laptop with 5400rpm HDD. 5400rpm is bog standard speed HDD.

Interestinng; my X60 Tablet does this boot in the same time and it's got a processor that's both slower and lower voltage.

I have a sony nr core2due 1.8, 2gb ram and it boots and loads fully at only 35 seconds. My O/S is vista home premium. I did two things to speed it up, 1. I removed the norton security and defragmented the hd. Before doing that it took me 1 min and 10 sec. to load.

I have a 15.4 inch widescreen T61p with no camera. 6459A24 is the p/n.
-
T61p comes with CD/DVD Writer.

My T61p with T9300 and 200GB 7200.2 hdd boots about as fast as that with XP SP3.
Did this SSD improve 3DMark06 score?
I love the T61p.
This video doesn't really say much for SSD technology.
